One-Bowl Banana Bread Recipe

Preheat Your Oven

Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Preheating ensures that your banana bread bakes evenly and rises properly.

Prepare the Bananas

In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. The bananas should be ripe with brown spots for the best flavor and sweetness.

Incorporate Wet Ingredients

Add the melted butter or coconut oil, brown sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas in the same bowl. Mix well until all the wet ingredients.

Incorporate Dry Ingredients

Sprinkle the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt over the wet mixture in the bowl. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Optional Add-Ins

If desired, fold in chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruit for added texture and flavor. This step is entirely optional but can take your banana bread to the next level.

Prepare the Baking Pan

Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray. Alternatively, line the pan with parchment paper for easy removal.

Pour the Batter

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.

Bake the Bread

Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The top should be golden.
