Gluten-Free Banana Bread Recipe

Preheat Your Oven

Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Preheating ensures that your banana bread bakes evenly and rises properly.

Prepare the Bananas

In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. The bananas should be ripe with brown spots for the best flavor and sweetness.

Incorporate Wet Ingredients

Add the melted coconut oil or butter, honey or maple syrup, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, and milk to the mashed bananas. Mix until all the wet ingredients are well combined.

Incorporate Dry Ingredients

Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the wet mixture and stir until fully incorporated. Then, gradually add the gluten-free all-purpose flour.

Optional Add-Ins

If desired, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips for added texture and flavor. This step is entirely optional but can enhance the overall taste of your banana bread.

Prepare the Baking Pan

Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray. Alternatively, line the pan with parchment paper for easy removal.

Pour the Batter

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it out evenly. Use a spatula to smooth the top.

Bake the Bread

Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The top should be golden brown.
